Lyrical dance is a dance style that incorporates elements of ballet and jazz dance. Lyrical dance utilizes technique to tell a story. Choreography is typically created to music that contains lyrics and the choreographer teaches a variety of dance steps to help the dancer interpret the lyrics in the song. 

In a lyrical class at Dancsync, students will enhance their technique through ballet/jazz technique at the barre and centre floor. They will learn the correct technique for jumping and turning, and they will be taught to develop musicality and expression when they perform. Facial and body expression are essential to telling a story with one’s body. The movement quality of a lyrical dance must be fluid, precise and structured.
